Welcome New Board Member, Larry Stone

We are excited to announce one of Baptist Prep's newest school board members, Larry Stone. He is co-founder, CEO, and Executive Creative Director of Stone Ward, a full-service advertising, marketing, and public relations agency, with offices in Little Rock and Chicago. At the age of 26, he accepted his first job as a Creative Director which began his journey of being established as a leader in the advertising community. Recently, Mr. Stone served on the Baptist Prep Advisory Board.

"I'm pleased to join Dr. Greg Jones and the other Board members to direct, protect and enable the staff of Baptist Prep to accomplish its critical mission," shared Mr. Stone. "There is no work more important than preparing our children to live their lives with the power that comes from faith in and the practice of following Jesus. Baptist Prep's mission to glorify God by assisting families in the Christ-centered, biblically-directed education of their children is critical today."

An active civic leader, Mr. Stone has served on the Arkansas Sheriffs' Youth Ranches board for 25 years and spent ten years as its chairman. He is also President of the Board of the Arkansas Cinema Society, an advisor to global non-profit, Bridge2Rwanda, and a member of Rotary Club 99. During his community and career involvement, Baptist Prep holds a special place in Mr. Stone's heart.

"My family has been connected to the school since the early '80s when my oldest son attended Baptist Prep," continued Mr. Stone. "Fast forward to my granddaughter, Alyson Bartlett, who started Baptist Prep in kindergarten and is now in the 6th grade. Since Aly began playing in the third grade, her mom, Katy Bartlett, has been the volunteer girls' basketball coach. My wife, Millie, and I love watching Aly and her Baptist Prep friends grow in their faith and be nurtured in so many valuable ways by the teachers and staff."

Larry is married to Millie Ward. He has two sons, Steve and Adam. His wife, Millie, has one daughter, Katy Bartlett. Together the couple has four grandchildren, Caroline and Nicholas Stone, Maggie Stone, and Alyson Bartlett. Mr. Stone loves the Baptist Prep family, which consists of spiritual leaders, educators, teachers, and parents working together to accomplish a life-changing impact in students' lives.

"It is my hope as a Board, we can support Dr. Jones and work together with him to shape a future for our school that will enable Baptist Prep to thrive, to reach more families and their children, and to be a positive force for Christian education in Arkansas for years to come."
