We are excited to announce one of Baptist Prep’s newest school board members, Dr. Larronda Rainey. Dr. Rainey is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of the RN-BSN program at the UAMS College of Nursing. She has been employed at UAMS for almost twenty years and has served in various roles. Throughout her time at UAMS, she has participated in multiple committees, such as those focusing on curriculum, recruitment, retention, program development, and diversity.
“I envision great things on the horizon for Baptist Prep, and as a board member, I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead,” said Dr. Rainey.
“My family and I believe God sent us to Baptist Prep for a reason. Our children previously attended other private schools, but we felt led to leave those institutions to join the Baptist Prep family. What makes Baptist Prep unique is the emphasis on Christ-centered education. It was wonderful to hear the teachers share their journey to Christianity and see them incorporate Christ and prayer throughout my child’s school day. I hope to use my many years of experience in education and nursing to meet the needs of the Baptist Prep students, families, and employees.”
Dr. Rainey and her husband Tim have two children who are both enrolled at Baptist Prep. Their eldest Drew is a junior and their youngest Matt is in sixth grade.
“I am excited to serve the Baptist Prep family and the opportunity to help foster the school in its next phase,” continued Dr. Rainey. “During my tenure on the board, I hope to see continued growth in the school as well as continued striving to be more reflective of heaven in every way.”
Please welcome Dr. Rainey to the Baptist Prep family!
