Steve Miller Named Head Basketball Coach

Baptist Prep school officials have announced the hiring of athletic director Steve Miller as the new head coach for Eagle basketball.

The school’s all-time winningest coach returns to the helm of a boys basketball program he previously led for 15 years. Miller originally came to Baptist Prep (formerly known as Arkansas Baptist High School) in the fall of 1994. He coached boys basketball, golf and cross country. The basketball program thrived under Miller's leadership, with achievements including:

  • 3 state championships (1997, 1999, 2009)

  • 6 region tournament titles

  • 7 district tournament titles

  • 9 regular-season conference titles

After capping the 2008-09 season with a third state title, Miller and his family moved to Wichita, Kansas, where he served as Trinity Academy's athletic director and head basketball coach from 2009-17. Eight years later, Miller came back home to Baptist Prep in the spring of 2017 to serve as Baptist Prep’s athletic director. We are so excited to now have him back as our head basketball coach and look forward to this coming season!
