Laying the Groundwork for Future Success

Dear Baptist Prep Families,

We are working diligently to prepare for a great start to the 2021-22 school year. We are also laying the groundwork for plans that will direct the future success of the school for many years to come. A few months from now I will be presenting a long-term strategic plan that will outline a path for sustainability and success for the Baptist Preparatory School. Below you will find the approach we will take to this process:

  • Phase 1: Summer 2021 - Gathering Information

  • Phase 2: Summer 2021 - Listening Sessions/Receptions

  • Phase 3: Early Fall 2021 - Focus Groups

  • Phase 4: Fall 2021 - Strategy and Planning Sessions

  • Phase 5: WInter 2022 - Presentation of the 5-7 year Strategic Plan

We are actively involved in the work of Phase 1 now. Dr. Horne has forwarded me the findings of the Advisory Team he led this last year and our year-end survey findings will be available soon. As part of Phase 1, findings from our recent ANSAA accreditation site visit will be reviewed; as well as, the school’s performance on annual testing. Phase 2 will kick off with a series of coffee receptions. The first of these Phase 2 meetings will be held on June 17. There will be two options on this day. In the morning, the first reception will start at 9:00 am on the Lower campus. Then during the late afternoon, starting at 5:30 pm, a reception will be held at the Upper Campus. These meetings will be informal times of discussion with members of the Baptist Prep faculty and staff. I look forward to connecting with you on June 17.

Have A Great Week!

Dr. Greg Jones President/Head of School The Baptist Preparatory School
