Upper School Foreign Language Students Win Awards at State

Saturday, April 2, twenty seven of our Upper School Foreign Language Department competed in the STATE competition at Harding University in Searcy. The results were as follows:

French 2- Eleonora Tomasino won 2nd in reading and 1st in vocabulary.

Spanish 1-Reading-Triniti Horner won 3rd and Claire Franklin won 1st. Speaking-Yu Feng won 2nd. Vocabulary- Claire Franklin won 3rd and Triniti Horner 2nd.

Spanish 2-Speaking-Zane Grober won 2nd and Caleb Byrd won 1st.

Spanish 3-Reading-Mia Sherman won 1st. Speaking- Abigail Sanders won 3rd and Sean Carney won 1st. Vocabulary- Mia Sherman won 3rd. Poetry- Eleonora Tomasino won 3rd.

Spanish 4-Speaking-Robert Pilcher won 3rd. Vocabulary-Robert Pilcher won 1st.

Robert Pilcher and Abigail Sanders took 1st in the Spanish talent contest with a song they sang.

Abigail Sanders took 1st place in art. (The art incorporated all languages...German, French, and Spanish!)

All participants did really, well and we are very proud of them all. Please congratulate them.
